What an amazing tale. I know this is fiction but the author did an amazing job in making this believable. I was intrigued after page 1. It is also funny to me to read comments such as this was such mindless reading and who could ever believe that one man could figure out how to survive such a feat. All I can say is that they do not send individuals up in space that aren't intelligent. If you know anything of NASA it is the time spent on preparation and maneuvers etc that they go through hence ho

Follows the movie closely. The movie makers cut the right things, towards the end I was getting to be 'come on, let's save him already'. Also, don't drink wine while reading this book. 'Scieeeeeence!' tee hee hee *drop it, walk off*

I can see that one great thing about reading through the PBS list of American Reads is the fact that I'll be reading more five stars than usual! This book was great, cover to cover. Full of science-y stuff, but written in a way that a layperson like me can understand. Great characters. Saw the movie, and liked the book better! #pbsamericareads #56/100
