OMG! Loved it! Great premise, great storyline, great suspense! The only downside is the science tangents. Watney's character explains every bit of MacGyver-ing that he has to do in incredible detail. My background in astro-engineering-chemistry-botony is a little rusty, so when he starts droning on about hydrolizing molecules of whatever I tended to skim over it and think "ok, sure, if you say so." Holy crap I enjoyed this book! I started this in June and got about 10% of the way through and just wasn't feeling it. I'm SO glad I picked it up again!

glad I was able to read this before the movie cane out. best summary of the book is Castaway in space. enjoyed it and looking forward to the movie.
