What Members Thought
Since it's best-selling debut in 2014, I thought for sure that "The Martian" would not be for me. I put the book on my TBR, of course, like I do so many titles I hear so much about, but I never thought I'd actually read and finish it. It was completely outside my literary wheelhouse and a title that I had put off for several years because I thought it'd be too science-heavy, technical, and boring.

What an amazing tale. I know this is fiction but the author did an amazing job in making this believable. I was intrigued after page 1. It is also funny to me to read comments such as this was such mindless reading and who could ever believe that one man could figure out how to survive such a feat. All I can say is that they do not send individuals up in space that aren't intelligent. If you know anything of NASA it is the time spent on preparation and maneuvers etc that they go through hence ho
