3.5 Stars. It took me a while to get used to the writing style and Noah's spastic thought process but once I did I fell in love with him (not so much with Jude) and really got into the story. I wasn't happy with the way the author wrapped up the relationships at the end (both Noah's and Jude's). A little more detail and closure would have been nice. I think an epilogue would have settled that nicely. ...more

This one floats between a 3.5 and a 4. It was the kind of story that sticks with you and makes you want to read it - and the two sibling characters are pretty perfect in all of their not-perfect glory (they can be beautiful, but also selfish - love each other but also jealously hate each other - totally insightful but also totally oblivious to their own emotions or the situation). I feel like their relationship was believable and the family dynamics were done well.

Too many coincidences, and I felt that neither child was in any position to have a relationship at the end, so I thought Brian and Oscar were in for a world of pain. Also, Oscar especially does not need Jude's drama in his life right now -- if she's too immature to see why it's a bad idea for a drug addict trying to go sober while avoiding more police entanglement NOT to get sexually involved with a sixteen year old, she's very very bad news for him.
