A beautiful display of Tolkien's own artwork, draft sketches to finished drawings and paintings, for the Hobbit. Nuff said, other than I really want prints of several of the paintings and I wonder if and when those will be available?

It's a quick read that most serious fans of LOTR would enjoy quite a bit. The book is filled with the artwork Tolkien drew to aid in his writing, to show his children, and for the early publications of the Hobbit. There are often descriptions of them that detail what he was likely thinking or working towards. It was especially helpful that they included details on alterations between editions of the same artwork to meet the printing demands, and why those changes were necessary.
