This is a book written by Josh Lanyon. As such I as a reader expect a well written plot with complex characters combining to give me a story with depth and emotion. This book is no exception. Please read the beginning story first. Timothy is an alcoholic and has been since he was seventeen. Luke is a cop who loved Tim. Tim left with no word over two years before. Tim felt he had to leave to find his sobriety. Luke last words to Tim were hurtful. Tim is back to attend a wedding and runs into Luke

Boy, did this one turn out a bit different than the previous book. It is now two and a half years later, and we learn that things have been pretty rough for Tim. Turns out he hand Luke forged onward with a relationship after the Forester case, despite both of them thinking it wasn’t such a good idea. Tim had been struggling to get a hold of his alcoholism with various rehabs, but then just up and vanished one day.

An excellent sequel to In a Dark Wood. My emotions were all over the place as the two men tried to get back a bit of the magic they'd had, and to overcome the hurt and distance between them. But in the end, totally satisfying.
