The last few books I have read tortured me with typos, excessive pronouns, bad or no editing and other grammatical problems. Some had interesting plots or characters. Oh how wonderful it was to have a Josh Lanyon book before my eyes. As usual Lanyon has gifted his readers with a well written book filled with complex characters and two intriguing leading men. The MCs have immediate attraction and lust. The mystery was good with twists. There was not a great amount of sex, but what was there was ho ...more

3.5 stars

I am a huge Josh Lanyan fangirl and I haven't read a book of his that I did not like. This one was good, not great, but good. There were enough twists and turns in the mystery to keep you guessing. Adam, an FBI agent who is assigned morgue patrol, is unhappy with his current assignment and is a prickly, distant kind of guy. When he is called to a small town in the Northwest for one of those morgue patrol he meets Deputy Sheriff Rob Haskill. The romance part of this story is sweet, but t

Special Agent Adam Darling went from hotshot to be put in the background due to a miscalculation which ended badly… But he does love his job and wants to rekindle his career. Maybe the murder investigation in Oregon can help him do so. Deputy Sheriff Robert Haskell does not like having the Feebs in his town… Although he would not mind having Agent Darling in his bed. After a hot night together they part without any promises or hope to see each other again. But another murder brings them back tog ...more

I love most of Josh Lanyon's books. I did enjoy this one a lot. It was fast paced and had enough mystery mixed in with the romance to keep things entertaining.

Rob is a small town cop, and Adam is an FBI agent trying to bounce back from a rough case. They discover more than a mutual attraction when they investigate a gruesome murder and a cold case.

I loved Winter Kill. For a lot of reasons. Josh's great writing for one. Then there's the suspense, the mystery, the romance, the characters. Absolutely everything you'll ever ask for out of a Josh Lanyon book and more.

I wish he'd write a sequel or a Christmas coda about Adam and Rob. ^___^

I really enjoyed the story however there is a lot of dialogue tags in it. Maybe not very noticeable when reading in written format but when listening to audio for several hours all those "he said, she said, they saids" become annoying after a very short period of time. ...more
