I have had the honour of reading this novella by Josh prior to its release and with the full disclaimer of professing my deep, abiding affection and worship for Josh's writing, I wanted to jot down a few praises for this book.

In counterpoint to the saying, 'a picture is worth a thousand words,' each page of this little story leaves the reader with an immediate bold, vibrant, if sometimes harsh, image. And even though romance is expected, it’s not often easy and never taken for granted. As with any great love story, sacrifices must be made. Brilliant.(less)

Josh Lanyon is one of my favourite mystery writers and I am slowly but surely making my way through his catalogue.
I am also a great fan of graphic novels and manga, and so to have a murder mystery story which involves a mangaka (manga artist) is brilliant.
This is a good story. Homicide detective Ryo Miller is investigating the murder of a witness whose testimony put Torres (a gangster) away in jail. Torres now released is some how involved in this murder but has a strong alibi. Kai Tashiro is t ...more

I loved this book. Different than his usual but I don't think Josh could write a bad book. I'll be reading this one again.
