Another one I need to add to my can't believe I waited so long to read this list. It picks up the pace quickly and moves right along until the end.
Gabriel is kind of a cocky ass at times, but once you learn more about him, it is hard not to like him. He is a total wiseass and had me chuckling out loud more than once.
Antonio is one hell of a sexy Spaniard. I loved his way of speaking and could almost hear that sexy accent whispering in my ear. He and Gabriel are smoking together and compliment e ...more

Anything I read by Josh Lanyon grabs me and will not let go. This partnership with Laura Baumbach is just as great. The characters are alive on the pages. Miquel/Antonio wants Gabriel from the first sight of him and that attraction only grows. He and Gabriel share passion immediately. Gabriel is a stand-up MF on the job, but inside he wants to be controlled. Gabriel is an undercover cop. Antonio is an undercover FBI agent. Both think the other is one of the bad guys. Each hates that he wants a d

Enjoyable, overall. This is clearly a book written by two people. I suspect that one wrote the first half and one wrote the second half, because they are quite different in tone and style. I was not super excited by the first half and it took me a months to get into it, but I did enjoy the second half a lot more probably because the second half reads just like a Josh Lanyon book and I definitely have a Josh Lanyon bias. I bought this in 2013 and it only took me 8 years to get to it!

4.5 Stars! This one started a little slow for me, although I dont know why stuff was happening. But after a few chapters I really got into it, then I was really into it! Wow, what a surprise...all I'm going to say is that went somewhere I never would have thought! Great read!

"The Game" that was played in this book has to be one of the hottest things I have ever read... (so far) :)
I don't know how to feel about this. I wanted to wait a bit before writing this because I felt like I was on the fence on whether or not I liked what happened to Gabriel.
I am not happy with what happened to Gabriel.
This is not to say that the story was not great because it was definitely worth the read, but I just cant get over that fact. I know not everything is going to be hunky-dory a ...more

This book consists of two parts; in part I Gabriel describes his undercover work in a drug gang and during this time he falls in love - well yes that's just it - with a criminal, and the other man seems to be so right for him, sexually and emotional, but, well he's a crook. While the problems start piling up, at the end of part I there is a huge showdown that changes everything.
Part II isn't written in the POV of Gabriel which is a shame because his emotional world is much more interesting than ...more
