As always, I love Josh Lanyon's characters and the world he creates for them. His characters are flawed in a way that makes them feel like they could be the people sitting next to you in a restaurant and that amazes me.
I felt a little off in the beginning, like I had missed something, because it felt a bit like I'd stepped into a story that was already happening. I wanted to know more about what had happened prior to the beginning of this story.

Another great story well-written with engaging characters. Translation: another Josh Lanyon story. I loved Dan, his strength and tenderness. Sean is a mess but a successful mess. He has more strength than he is given credit. The mystery is not really a mystery but moves the emotional story along. Lanyon always makes his readers look at life's questions and interactions in a deeper way. His stories are life stories not limited to any group.

I love that there's no sugarcoating how imperfect (and screwed up) these guys are and how fear can really fuck with your head and lead you to a dark place until you loose perspective and trust in those you thought you could trust above all - and especially yourself.
