Fantastic book. Josh Lanyon.
Very intense and suspense-packed. Great mystery. Believable tortured and imperfect heroes, which made me love the characters all the more.
Loved it and I will definitely read it again. Something I don't usually do.

Four and a half stars. I picked up this book because I like Lanyon's Kit and J.X. series. I did not think I would like it as much. I was wrong. This was a well written and well thought out mystery. It was more. It was a heart felt story of a man, Swift, who had made many mistakes in life and acknowledged them. He was a poet who no longer wrote poetry. It is his thoughts, fears and desires that dominated this story. His character is so human and so beautiful in his weaknesses and in his strengths

Life isn´t easy being gay, living in a small town in Maine and being in ex-junkie, too, who happens to be in love with the chief of police, but doesn´t feel loved back. To make things even more complicated, one of his students turns to Sebastian Swift, asking for help. Later on Swift finds out that the student is wanted for murder. All of a sudden Swift is involved in a murder crime, has to deal not only with his lover, mate, friend or whatever but also with the demons of his own past.
