Death of a Pirate King gave me exactly what I wanted. I'm glad I bought the two books together because if I'm not, I will be boiling mad after the ending of the 3rd book. I always love reading a romance story where the two main people had history before, like the one who got away. The murder mystery in the 4th book was weak, I knew the bad guy right away. This book has left me close to tears, angry, frustrated and morally conflicted, but it was soooo worth it! Loved it!!!
Another great book, where the pages virtually turn themselves!
I really love Adrien as a character, he is irrepressable despite his health problems and tenaciously curious. I don't know if I've said in my other reviews of these books but I don't usually empathise with the bottom in these relationships, I'm normally more interested in the top, which is a testament to the quality of Josh's writing, I think.

Okay, this one about killed me. Incredible read. This is one of the few series I want to own in print.
