We meet the amazingly annoying Guy Snowden and Lisa's new love Bill Daughten (sp?) and his three daughters. Also, a demon, wiccans, and a couple of Satanists, who quite willing to create havoc and outright murder for gain.

4 1/2 stars (rounded down to 4 stars because I loathed Jake!)

This series is full of good mysteries, although this one was a little confusing and a lot all over the place. At least in compared to the previous two stories. In this book Adrien finds himself surrounded by occult fanatics, his new to-be step family and then there is Jake.
I have a lot to say about the last two and most of it is spoilery, so I will save those for a moment. This occult storyline seemed to have a lot of spokes and sometimes it was really difficult to follow. (view spoiler) ...more

I really love Adrien's self-deprecating, sharp-witted, yet easygoing style, and I've been drawing out the series to savor my time with him all the more.

Despite having thirtysomething books to read for challenges-- none of which are in this series-- I cannot stop myself. Incredibly good series. Lanyon has became a must-read author for me.
