Oh, how I loved this series! It's been an absolute pleasure! I fell in love with the characters and now I'm too sad to let them go. Josh Lanyon really is a brilliant author. If you're a fan of a good mystery and romance genre, I highly recommend it. It's definitely a page turner. I can't wait to see what else Mr Lanyon has in store for us.

The Dark Tide, the fifth (and final book) in the Adrien English series, follows on directly from the events of the previous book Death of a Pirate King. While the previous book had my heart in a vice throughout, this book was much easier to get through, though it did have its fair share of angst.

I guess Jake was right, this is where Adrien wakes up and deals with all the emotions. I like the book the way it is. Yes, I wish we had a HEA earlier, but I always knew were getting there. My one complaint was and truthfully it was dealt in the sequel novella, that we didn't get to see Jake's family meet Adrien.
Tomkins and Scout are just too cute.

My whole review is one big spoiler so I will just say that I had high expectations for this book and I was not disappointed. I have spent the last 7 days immersed in Adrien's world and I don't want to leave. Sigh.
