Re-read, had forgotten how much I liked this, nice to have the sequels to continue with. I like the romance with a good balance of mystery.

Lanyon always writes absorbing stories.
The police and the FBI don't seem to to do much of anything in this book, it's all down to ex-FBI Elliot. He makes the connections and does the interviews, before anyone else bothers. (view spoiler) ...more

After having read the Adrien-English-series this plot reminded me quite a lot of the twists and events of the bookstore-owner. although here the hero is an ex-FBI agent with a damaged knee (no hart condition) and he also has to deal not only with murder but also with a difficult (ex) lover. But who cares, when the story is just great and you hardly care who did it because you laughed the story (telling) that much. I spent a great sunday with Elliot and the murderer.....
