A couple of months ago on a loop chat, I asked Josh if the Adrien English mysteries were on Kindle. Josh responded in a sort of delighted surprise that, yes, they were, and he was always pleased when he found someone who hadn't read them yet.

This mystery begins with Adrien English finding out that his employee and old school friend has been brutally murdered. Handsome, probably straight, cop Jake Rierdon is involved in the case and seems to suspect Adrien of killing Rob. More murders are discovered and they all seem to be tied to Adrien somehow.
First book in a great series with Adrien and Jake.
The audiobook is also amazing. Wonderful narration by Chris Patton.

Homicide detective Jake Riordan is stern, but continues to show a bit of sympathy for Adrien. Despite knowing it's a bad idea, Adrien manages to stumble his way through figuring out who the murderer is ...more
