Picks up right where book 1 ends. I started this last night when I finished book 1 and just finished it - fantastic!

This was an interesting series. I liked the culture clash in it and the slow build of the relationship and Javier's slow growth and maturing. I really enjoyed this series. Fantasy isn't really my thing but it was a fully realized world that was easy to become absorbed in.

I do wish that it was just one book - the break was artificial since it just started with the next paragraph, no recap. A publisher decision for length or to make more money?

I am so sad it is over, I miss Kiram and Javier already! Perhaps a book three?

This book was certainly better than the first, but again it was very very drawn out. I liked seeing the Haldim culture and Kiram's home, but there was so much pointless filling that again the plot lost focus.

Both the first and the second book are basically one book cut in two.
