2.5 stars. It's a little hard for me to say this, but this series just isn't working for me. The writing is good and, as always, I love Josh's sense of humor, but the story is just not my thing, which is disappointing for me because normally I love Josh's books. You can't win them all, as they say. I find Cosmo annoying and John is actively unlikeable and very unpleasant. The awkward (non-)romance has felt a little icky and bewildering from the beginning and I really want them to break up, which

This book resolved a bunch of issues I had with the premise of the previous book, in an explosive fashion.

Finished it and I already want the next book which won't be out till March 2020. I really liked that we got to see that Cosmo and John have issues and it may or may not have stemmed form their rushed relationship and the secrets that are being kept. There was a lot of emotions and it hit me in the feels. I really felt for Cosmo and for just a few secs I hated John. The mystery of the murders and who is out to get Cosmo are still questionable and I'm looking forward to seeing what the author has
