2.5 stars. It's a little hard for me to say this, but this series just isn't working for me. The writing is good and, as always, I love Josh's sense of humor, but the story is just not my thing, which is disappointing for me because normally I love Josh's books. You can't win them all, as they say. I find Cosmo annoying and John is actively unlikeable and very unpleasant. This book resolved a bunch of issues I had with the premise of the previous book, in an explosive fashion.

It's been a few months since I read this so...

To resolve the rough spots of the first book. This one had some exposition that seems to imply that they might get together afterward anyway, if they ever ran into each other again.

John's personal life and history were explored. Which give more context to the situations in the first book. I am guessing that Ms. Lanyon plot and write this trilog

I did not want this book to end! The writing is so damn good.

Cosmo and John’s relationship started for us at the happily ever after stage and progressed backwards. It’s so interesting seeing it this way.

Now I hope they ultimately get back to their HEA but sometimes that’s not always the case.

I’m glad Cosmo stopped hiding who he really is just to keep John. John has some growing he needs to do also. He is used to his way or the highway. So in my opinion John needs to compromise greatly. I want

Finished it and I already want the next book which won't be out till March 2020. I really liked that we got to see that Cosmo and John have issues and it may or may not have stemmed form their rushed relationship and the secrets that are being kept. There was a lot of emotions and it hit me in the feels. I really felt for Cosmo and for just a few secs I hated John. The mystery of the murders and who is out to get Cosmo are still questionable and I'm looking forward to seeing what the author has ...more
