Besides being about magic, this story is magic. I do hope a sequel's in the works! ...more

Now that was intresting. I do admit that the beginning reminded me a lot of The Magpie Lord. But since I loved it, that's no bother.

I liked the magic system. It was so fascinating. Just had to keep reading to see what's going to happen next. The answer to Lord Thornsbys problems was cool. I mean it's something that I haven't come across a lot.

A very interesting historical with curses and magic which gives the book a very dark beginning. I finished this book in one sitting. It was super interesting and I wanted to know how the MC gets out of the situation. The romance between the MCs were believable and characters were interesting. I could guess what one of the MCs was, but that did not change my enjoyment. This is a new author to me and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book.
