Forgot to review this. I think 3.5
I enjoyed it but kept feeling I should be liking it more. The characters and setting were great, but I think too much happened outside of the couple - they spent a lot of time reacting to things instead of developing a relationship and there could have been more fun with that so it's a shame.
Radnor is clearly on the Autistic spectrum and interestingly protrayed. Georgie though, seemed to be having something of a self epiphany, he never fully added up, I'd have l ...more

I suspected from the blurb that I'd be into this one and I ended up enjoying it even more than book 1, which is always a fun surprise!
Lovely characters with a wonderful connection, and it was cool to see some neuro-divergent rep in a historical. I enjoyed getting to know Georgie from the first book a bit better, and the cameos of Oliver and Jack were great and not over-powering. I also *really* enjoyed that (view spoiler) ...more

While this was generally very good there were a few things that niggled... like Lawrence being the Earl of Radnor.. which is in Wales not Cornwall.. and his son being Viscount Sheffield... erm.. yeah.. well no.. but that's because of where I liv ...more

Thoughts after a re-read 18.11.2021
I love it when during a re-read I still love the book. I wonder what was Lawrence's problem truly like I get that he had a bad childhood. Tons of wrong information heaped on him and which he believed. all that made him the extreme recluse. Or maybe he just didn't like people. But one thing is clear. he has heart of gold.
Georgie was trying to do his best, with what he had. Now he was excellent at this whole secretary business.
