Dark Space wasn't an easy book to read. Life isn't easy on the space station where Brady spent the last three years of his life after he was recruited at the age of 16. It isn't easy on Earth, in the refugee camps left after the war with aliens.

It's hard to read because apparently the humans haven't learned a thing in the future: the differences between the rich and poor exist even in the refugee camps and the life of the poor is like looking into Brazilian favelas, the homosexuality ...more

Dark Space sounded like a book I could really like – and I did!

Alien technology (don’t worry, there’s no talk about techno stuff) an emotional story (the last chapters!) and two main characters I really liked, made this story nearly perfect for me. What I missed was a little bit more background info about the Faceless and their culture or about the world in general.

I've had this book on my to-read list for like the longest time now and I can't believe I've waited so long to give it a go. I got skeptical I guess because I'm not big on sci-fi themed stories but it being written on the MM genre was definitely a plus.

My first book by Lisa Henry was Mark Cooper versus America which I thoroughly enjoyed. This time, reading this solo effort from her just totally made me want to read more of her books!

Dark Space centers on a young recruit Brady Garreth who is par I've had this book on my to-read list for like the longest time now and I can't believe I've waited so long to give it a go. I got skeptical I guess because I'm not big on sci-fi themed stories but it being written on the MM genre was definitely a plus.

Dark Space centers on a young recruit Brady Garreth who is part of the force defending and protecting the Earth from the "faceless" aliens. Brady is on his third year on space and is training to become a medic. He was summoned when Cameron Rushton, a lieutenant who has been abducted by the Faceless four years ago suddenly appeared in a stasis. Brady found himself drawn to Cameron after discovering their strange connection that keeps the lieutenant alive. They later discovered that Cameron was sent back to deliver a message that may or may not annihilate the planet. It also means that the budding romance between Brady and Cameron may not have a future at all.

I totally adore this book!!! It's perfection and I loved the couple here. I loved Brady's personality. He's sensitive, smart, adorable and with that mouth! He's perfect! LOL
The book's also giving me that Hunger Games vibe only because Brady and his sister Lucy reminds me of Katniss and Primrose.

The imagined space station/ defense system was well described I could easily picture it. I wasn't okay with Kai-ren's way of communicating with Cameron because I find it rather eerie and repulsive. Oh, I totally feel for the guy. I loved how Cameron's character was easily introduced that I got too restless wanting to know more about him!!

This is a really, really good book! I wonder if it's really over with the Faceless in the next book. I want the Chris-third party angle to come into play next time. Seriously, I cannot wait to read the next installment of this series. I'm literally shaking from being anxious yet excited. Dear Author, don't make us wait too long please...

I liked Garrett, which is good, since he was the narrator, but I missed Cameron's point of view, since it was he who was captured by the aliens. Also I didn't feel the dread of this Faceless, I mean they came and shot the crew of Cameron's ship, space pirates could do that, sorry, but this does not exactly made them appear especially fearsome. ...more
