About an hour into this and I was thinking 4*. I'm not really a YA reader and sometimes the differences between YA and not YA are the things that push my rating to 5*. However, there was a point in the story where I became so entangled with the characters that I felt as though I was going to literally die if I did not find out who Blue was. I stayed up until 2:30am listening because I HAD TO KNOW. Because of that, I can not in good conscience give this less than 5*. The fact that a YA book (not ...more

I really enjoyed this one!

I listened to it on audiobook and the narrator was really fantastic. Definitely recommend!

It's sweet and fun and I thought Simon and "Blue" were really fucking adorable. I mean, I totally figured out who Blue was pretty early on, but I actually thought it was pretty reasonable that Simon wouldn't. I liked the representation, I really liked Simon's voice, and the ending was super adorable.

I really enjoyed this book. A near flawless execution of a bunch of very interesting high school kids and I loved it. An easy read, yet engaging and thought provoking -- it both feels like an important book and yet also highly entertaining. Its a lovely snap shot of the times we live in and a really good coming of age portrayal. There is a lot of loved about this book and think the author is a brilliant, talented writer.
