Great sense of place and very sympathetic characters who unfortunately acted in a way that caused several wait-what? moments for me while reading. Also the ending while positive felt somewhat rushed.

Apologies to the many people who love this book/series/couple, but it was just ok for me. In fact, I almost didn’t finish it. I found it very predictable: work, have sex, and repeat (and repeat and repeat and repeat...) until the inevitable event that makes them realize what they mean to each other. I just never bought this as some great love.
This was a really good book that could have been a great book with a little bit more attention to editing. There were many words left out and that seemed to get worse as the book went on, as though the editor just gave up. That said, I will happily look forward to reading the next books in this series.
Starts off slow but picks up! Good read.
