What Members Thought

This was a fun adventure, mystery book with some quirky characters. Jefferson is a trouble magnet and is at a crossroads in his life. This is what brings him to Europe with his grandfather's copy of Esquire's Europe in Style. It's time for adventure and hopefully figure things out. A case of mistaken identity leads to an unplanned reunion with his old friend George. From there it is one mishap after another that sets the tone for a fast paced, suspense, mystery romance.

I think this is one of my favorite of Josh Lanyon's books. The mystery is suspenseful and quirky and the supporting characters are fascinating. I understood and sympathized with both Jefferson and George, even when they were in opposition.
My only caveat to recommending this book is that it's not your typical M/M romance with a HEA ending. The ending is hopeful, and it was satisfying to me, but I know some readers prefer much more unequivocal happy endings, so be aware that (IMO) this isn't one. ...more

I loved it. Listened to the audio version and the narrator is awesome. Complete with Landon's dry wit.

I was excited for Josh Lanyon's first NA. I've discovered I can quite enjoy NA in m/m. This book was sadly a let down. The story felt erratic and disconnected. Jefferson was an irritating character, and I didn't understand the attraction between him and George on either side.
