What Members Thought
I haven't re-read this in years, and now I remember why. The first part of the book is wonderful and iconic, with Watson meeting Holmes, moving into 221B Baker Street, and then Watson trying to figure out what Holmes is working on. But the part set in Utah is totally boring to a 21st century audience, though probably somewhat more interesting in the late 1800's. Holmes' work figuring out whodunit and how was much more pedestrian than in later stories, and our villain was hardly villainous. Here
