"The Lords of Discipline" was recommended to me several years ago by a graduate of the actual establishment that the Virginia Military Institute was based on-the Citadel. I'd never seen it again until the IR list was issued, and so I thought I'd give it a try, having read the premise. This book delivers.

If nothing else, you'll get a full understanding of why Pat Conroy has been inter

This is one of my two favorite books, and I feel like Will McLean is a friend that I visit from time to time. Beautifully written, gripping, with great characters. I love it!

Intriguing-- engaging-- can't put it down! Scary that this stuff is based on truth.
