What Members Thought

MacRieve has probably one of the most serious issues I've seen in this series: prejudice and how you shouldn't condemn a race because of a few evil members of that race. It was all buried within the matehood business, of course, but I liked that between all the sexytimes, there were more deep discussions about things that matter.
I really liked this couple. The first third of MacRieve was so awesome, with the couple so into each other, that I thought immeditetly "it's too good to be true!". Which ...more

3 1/2 stars (rounded up to 4 stars, because Will and Munro's nickname - Hot and Hotter! - was a thing of beauty, LOL)

First paragraph:
Woods of Murk, Scotland
CENTURIES AGO . . .
In a dark forest, in a dour land, stood an enchanted cottage. Within it, Uilleam MacRieve was about to bicker with his mate, Lady Ruelle.
Yet again.
As the blizzard outside gathered its strength, Will sat on the edge of her bed, wearily preparing for battle.
Another awesome story by Mistress Kresley Cole! Rare are the series that get better as they progress, but Cole most definitely earns the title of Mistress from me.

3.5 rounded up because Mr. Petkoff is excellent. Chloe is my favorite heroine so far. I really liked her interactions with MacRieve even though he was huge ass for the most part. That being said this book felt like filler. It didn't move the general plot forward so it could be totally skipped. Though it did set up Munro's story nicely. It also introduces the Møriør, the Bringers of Doom and the Forgotten.

MacRieve, MacRieve, what can i say abot Macrieve.
I searched hard enough, waiting long enough to finally read this book. And when i finally did, i can't wait to finished it.
It just...something. I don't know words failed me somehow.
I have had so much expectations from this one and to be disappointed is not something i take lightly.
It's not i don't like Chloe. I do... she a fierce little thing. Who knew KC is going to have a female soccer player as her heroine?
She is tough, she got dirt in her ...more

Anyone know what book this is?

This wasn't what I thought it would be. Normally I love just about anything about the IAD, but this book felt like filler. Yeah Chloe and Will were a cool couple, but been there done that with couples before them.
The part about Chloe's father was weird with a capital w. What the heck is going on in his head.
I think the next book is about Munro because of the way the book ended.
Maybe when I read the series again, I'll appreciate this book more. ...more
