A new book by Patricia Briggs is always an anticipated event for me. I love the world that Ms. Briggs has created. I love Mercy and Adam and all the other characters that surround Mercy. I love Stefan, the Scooby Doo loving vampire.

I liked this book. I didn't love it. For me, the pacing was off. It was just a little bit slow and not the same caliber as the previous book.

I still love this author and will be reading the next book in the series. ...more

Fair Game had a big game changer of an ending and I was interested to see how it would affect the Mercyverse. While you won't have to have read any of the Alpha & Omega series in order to keep up with the changes, Briggs does an excellent job of revealing the basics, it personally made me more interested in certain events and visiting characters a little more than I might have been without the familiarity.

I had such a debate with myself about this book. The immature, grabby hands, grabby hands side of me wanted to read it right away. The less immature, thoughtful side of me wanted to wait so it wouldn't seem so long until the next book in this world. Since I didn't even make it a week from the release date, the grabby hands side obviously won.
