I love the Mercy Thompson series and eagerly await the next book. I wish there was a 4.5 rating here because this book, while good and filled with the fascinating characters and situations I expect in a Patricia Briggs story, fell short for me because of the ending. There was a sense of a mis-step between what was beautifully set up in the beginning of the story and came to a wonderful Crisis in the middle but then it was as if the ending was tacked on, bringing in characters that haven't seen a ...more
