Oh, poor May! It's Aisling all over again! Haha.
You'd think that becoming a wyvern's mate would mean that things might calm down or something. You know, just let the lovers be happy for a bit. But if there is a wrench our dear author can throw in the works, she throws not just one but all of them.

MacAlister's wonderful blend of humor and romance makes time pass quickly. It was two in the morning before I realized it and I still didn't want to put it down. The main focus of the book is on Gabriel and May's relationship, but it's still nice to catch up with Aisling & Drake. Jim makes a few appearances also, complete with inappropriate yet hilarious comments. Knowing this is the second book in a trilogy, I expected the plot to carry over into the next book and it does. This book had some funny parts and the plot certainly moved along. But I think I just like the Aisling books better. May & Gabriel just seem kind of boring to me compared to Aisling & Drake. I also felt like there was a lot of mental lusting in this one, which isn't my favorite thing either. But overall I like the world enough and there are enough left over plot threads that I'll keep reading the series even if it's not a total favorite.
