Big fat meh. I don't know why I'm not crazy about this series. It's got decent enough characters. It's funny (or meant to be.) It's light enough that it should be a fast easy read. But this book and the first in the series are such chores for me to get through. I can't pinpoint what I don't like though. Maybe it's that I don't really find the hero all that great (he's ok, but kinda boring). Maybe the books go on too long. This one in particular ended about 10 or 15 pages past what I thought ...more

Oh shit. So glad my family is not like Jane's. Or Zeb's. Or Jolene's. 'Cause really?! At first it is funny, but then gets bit annoying. Think multiple rude, manipulative, and un-loving comments and behaviors. Jane does (kinda) stand up for herself. Then there is Gabriel (do not find out who Jeanine is in this one, so maybe book 3), the master of business trips and communication.
