What did I think... I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! I want the next one and I want it now... and if possible the 3rd in the series would make my week too. I'm not entirely sure that the author has got that far, but I can dream. Cinder is a cyborg/human mechanic. I like to think of her as enhanced but it seems that the Earth she lives on see's her as a 2nd class citizen. She lives with her guardian and 2 step sisters... does any of this sound familiar???? I love retellings of classic fairy-tales and I think this is one of the most inventive that I have ever read. Cinder was amazing and I had a hard time putting it down, even though I wasn't surprised by the revelation of who Cinder is. I remember stopping at one point in excitement and asking my daughter (after explaining what was going on) did she agree with what I thought was happening. We were both right. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series.

I'm not sure where this book fell short with me. The story was an interesting idea, the world was neat, but the execution of it all just fell really flat and I couldn't get into it. I may try to read the next one and give this author another chance. It's her first book so maybe 2nd time's the charm?
