Not bad, but I started it for a group read that no one else read with me so I lost interest. I was confused by the teminoligy and plot anyway. It was a library book I just let go back.
When I first started this, it reminded me of the Iron Seas series by Meljean Brook so much that I almost stopped reading it. I'm really glad I kept with it! After the first couple of chapters or so, I wasn't thinking about the Iron Seas series at all. I can't wait for the next book and I'll definitely be looking around for more by Bec McMaster.
