I enjoyed the jaunt into the past world of the Soulless series. The story was cute and fun I will definitely read some more, and this has sparked my interest to finish up the soulless series as well.

The only thing that kept me from giving the book 5 stars was the lack of adult care or concern of the goings on of 14 year old girls. Being a covert recruit I would expect a bit more explanation on the workings of the school. A bit more explanation of the first night at the school after the attack. ...more

Fun book that I enjoyed more once I figured out that it took place well before the Parasol Protectorate books. Genevieve LeFoux is just 9! There are a lot of fun devices and an always welcome clockwork dog.

I'm not into steam punk. I seldom read YA. Somehow, I chose to read this book. :) I did not regret it. :) It's an easy read and all the weird names/jargon that steam punk novels have came natural. One of the reasons why I don't like steam punk is because of the vocabulary.

Story is about a girl who is boy crazy. It's about a girl who behaves like a little boy, quite unladylike. :) ...more
