Shelves: urban-fantasy

Ever After was... well like the other books in the series, in a good way. It was frustrating because I did not remember everything that has happened in the last ten or so books. It was annoying because the bad guy was just too goddamned strong. I went crazy with all the tap dancing that Rachel and Trent did around each other and it was sad but thankfully in a slightly matter of fact way so I did not grieve.

I think Pale Demon is always going to be my favorite in this series because I love a good Road Trip book. But I still really enjoyed this one. I'm loving the lack of Ivy, she's never been my favorite character and she and Rachel together are a little too emo drama for me. I loved all the demon/elf background and meeting other gargoyles. Rachel, Trent & Al having to work together is too much fun. I did feel like there were some places where the book dragged a bit and some internal monologues went ...more
