Kudos to the author for actually describing how Lexie was different, such as how she was a reporter, but not the kind who used low-cut shirts and flirting to get the story. It was a bit much how they both had been burned by their jobs, but I will admit to feeling pettily victorious when they were both proven right in their hunches. Good fleshed-out characters. Great characters that you really rooted for, good suspense, and believable romance. I'm excited to read the second in the series.

A very well written book with interesting characters. The emotionally damaged physic and the almost discredited female reporter. The sleepy small town in Georgia with everything on the surface looking just peachy. LOL.
However, this book just isn't for me. The crimes were just too gritty and ugly and the romance between our H/h just not enough to compensate me for my time. If I want realistic crime I only have to watch the TV news, I don't want to read about it.
