Amazing. Absolutely wonderful. I listened to both this book and Daughter of Smoke and Bone and the narrator brings this story to life. She does an amazing Zuzanna voice, and she portrays Karou's character beautifully.

Days of Blood & Starlight was a lot bloodier than the first book and at times I found it just a little gory for my tastes. The story itself is mesmerizing and I would just put on the headphones and relax to this story.

Once again, Zuzanna was my favorite character. She makes an awes

So, I am glad that I decided to keep reading this series. I wasn't sure if I was going to after finishing the first book. Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed the first book to some degree and I think the four star rating I gave it was deserved.

This book, however, was SO much better. I felt as though the focus shifted from Karou's and Akiva's romance to the over-arching plot line of the race war between the seraphim and chimaera. I enjoyed tha

I would give it 4 stars if the first half of the book wasn't so confusing and kind of slow.
After 50% things get better but the overall feeling still isn't quite so good like the 1 book made me feel.
Or maybe i am just still affected by the previous trilogy i was reading Cold Fire (The Spiritwalker Trilogy #2) by Kate Elliott (and liking a lot) so everything after that fades out a bit..
Any way,it is a good read and i will seek out the final book when it's out (in some distant future- 2014 i believe).

This book was very slow and long! I had to make myself pick it up several times. It lacked action. 60% of the way in I still felt like nothing important had happened. The end was really good though. I felt like the whole thing was just a set up for the next book. I hope the next one is better.

I had trouble getting into the book at first, but the action picked up in the last third & it was difficult to put down. Looking forward to book #3!
