This Side of the Grave is the 5th book in the Night Huntress series. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I may have enjoyed it more having re-read the 4th prior to this one. Where #4, Destined for an Early Grave, saw Cat & Bones at each other's throats, this one had them constantly professing their love for each other. I miss the cat fights a bit. But, I'll take Bones how I can get 'im.

I have this funny feeling that this structure to the plot is starting to be the same. As fun as the dialogue is, this oops can't be over looked.
Please note that I'm upset about this.
Mrs. Frost please bring back the awesomeness factor that made me love the first three books. That would be the use of more foreshadowing, and multiple villains. ...more

Its was nice, but the story was just plain IMO.
I was expecting more.
The story wasn't as good as the in the previous books,
The villain wasn't as evil as was suppose to be,
Cat wasn't as kick ass as ever,
Bones wasn't as funny and sexy as he usually is,
and the sex scenes were just OK :(
BUT - Vlad as wonderful. cant wait to read his story.
It felt like a go between book, the next one comes out in 4 months or so... Hope I'll like it better!

Being generous with the 4 stars. More like 3.5 stars. It was good but nothing great really happened. Just another book that kind of moves the story along. Seems like that's the trend for a lot of PNR/UF new releases this year.
