I loved it.

But.

This underscores what I have come to hate about the Pack. This short occurs between Magic Strikes and Magic Bleeds, and so based on what has occurred only up until that moment, what Jim knows is this: Kate put herself at tremendous risk to help the Pack. To help JIM, specifically, because the entire Midnight Games shitshow was entirely a result of Jim's poor decisions.

Was this the one where Jim fills Curran in a Kate's past?
If so, it figures Curran's people would know everything.
Why can't Jim just let go and get together with Dali? The best part about is that Dali has no idea!

I love Curran, absolutely adore the man!

I enjoy all the stories written from Curran's perspective and this one was no exception. I do wonder how Jim managed to get all that super secret intel on Kate though. It was nice to see a moment mentioned in passing in the actual novel brought to the forefront and explored in more detail. ...more
