This book wasn't my favorite, but did have some interesting elements. I will not be continuing the series, but others may have a better experience than I did.
I really enjoyed the world building in this novel. The human world was just like ours, but the world of Sang was inhabited by all manners of blood (or blud) drinking creatures. I knew I was going to like this book less than 10 pages in. A hospice nurse finds a locket at an Estate Sale and is transported to Sang. Sang is an alternate universe and also about 100 years behind us. Then we meet Criminy Stain. *sigh* Tish, our MC, meets him immediately.

The one jarring note in this book was the fact that a nurse (more than once) referred to patients as 'vegetables'. That was just wrong. Other than that, I found the romance sweet and I just loved Criminy
