What Members Thought
This is a great start to the series. While I don't feel like any aspect of it is super original, a woman is turned against her will, realizes she's vampire and has no sire to teach her, females are extremely ratre, etc, I liked the way it was done. The characters are likable and you feel for Lissa as she explores her new world as a vampire and is trying to figure things out. She's pragmatic and accepts things are as they are, but also starts learning the politics and trying to better her situati
