Was I happy after reading this? I'm grudging to say I was not. I don't like the evolution of the cast of characters. Hamilton has yet again made me upset with the endless cycle of smut. I thought Anita was a bad ass that no one could attract her interest. Also this plot was just a bit much. Don't believe me, well go read the series for yourselves and discover the depths this series goes into. I also have such wonderful news...

I found it extremely difficult to get through this book because of the constant analyzing of every single action--every smile, every frown, every shrug. I wanted to know how it ended which is why I finished it. I used to love the Anita Blake books but I don't think I'll be reading another one for a while.
