This was a great start to what looks to be a fantastic new shifter series! Alpha pack is a government special ops team full of shifters with some extra talents. This story was based on Jaxon who is a wolf shifter with a talent for time bending! He rescues Kira after she steals things from her employers who she is convinced are up to no good and she is sucked into the Alpha packs world.

It's taken me several tries to get through this book. This series has a lot of potential but it didn't get close. A lot of times the first book in the series is blah- the world building takes a while and then it takes some to get to like the charactiers... I did like Jaxson and Kira and the other members of the team as they were introduced- I'm going to try the second book but I'm not sure what's missing- I just wasn't feeling it with this series.. ...more

This book had problems. There were leaps of logic that gave me whiplash and Kira was so far out of character at one point that I wondered who she was. I kept reading because I wanted to read Savage Awakening, which ended up being a DNF! ...more
