I think I'm alone in not loving this one. I've really enjoyed this series and this book had some of what I've enjoyed but it also kind of annoyed me. I still love Noelle. She's a little tough to take at first but her and Ava crack me up together and it doesn't take long to see that a lot of her behavior comes but the desire to protect herself. 3.5 stars. You can always count on Gena Showalter for some OTT paranormal lovin'. This series (Alien Huntress) has got better over the years. I feel like I can see the author's growth as a writer when comparing this with the first couple in the series (Awaken Me Darkly & Enslave Me Sweetly). I liked Hector and Noelle as a couple, especially their chemistry in the 'boot camp' scenes. But Hector's resistance to their relationship went on a bit long for me. This is without a doubt my favourite book in this series so far. I highly doubt Gena Showalter will ever top this one!! I was hooked from start to finish.
