3.5 stars. Elder doesn't want to become Eldest. The ship is going to take a lot longer than originally thought to get to the new planet. Lots of secrets and even more dissension. Many questions are still unanswered.

This one didn't wow me, but wasn't terrible either. The premise of the plot is starting to feel thin and I'm hoping the next book can turn that around. Yet some details and events, especially in regard to how Elder dealt with many of the ship's problems was naive (which is realistic, I guess, for their age). I'm willing to give the next book a chance, but I'm not getting my hopes up too h

ARC - NYCC

Beth Revis conseguiu manter um enredo bastante interessante, onde praticamente todo espaço se centra no mesmo lugar e o ritmo de acção começa lento mas vai ganhando fulgor até às páginas finais que se viram numa velocidade estonteante.

I am not usually one to review subsequent books in a series. As it's almost impossible to NOT give things away to those who haven't yet read the first book.
This book was a strange read for me. I had a hard time getting into it at first. I found the constant switching of POV to be annoying, and the constant tension to be actually anxiety-inducing.
However, as things really picked up in the 2nd half of the book, I'm very glad that I didn't give up on this one! ...more
