Note: If you haven't read Karen's Fever series, then I highly suggest that you do or you might get a little lost. And this is not a YA novel even though the character Dani is only 14.

Since I finished this a couple of days ago I have had a couple of days to ponder what I thought about the book.

I've noticed some reviews bash the Dani/Ryodan relationship. I like the idea of them being together, just not right now as she is clearly too young. It's not he's getting any older. I hated the way he treats her. I think he cares about her in his own messed up way and I don't know exactly how Dani feels about him just yet. She is almost indifferent at this point. I would like to see their relationship develop further in the next book into something that is not so...agressive on his side and nonchalant on his.

I debated reading this book since Dani was the narrator and main character. I liked her as a background character in the first five and I think she is too young to have an entire trilogy focused on her.

I haven't decided on Dancer yet. Its clear he and Dani are just friends but there is an underlying hint that they may be attracted to one another in a romantic way. This leads me to Christian. Talk about creepy. He is completely obsessed with Dani and she being only 14 years old doesn't know what to do but it is clear she doesn't like him in that way. And then there's Jo, a fellow sidhe-seer and friend of Dani. She and Ryodan get together and are exclusive. Oh boy! I think its clear Dani is unconsciously jealous. The scene that got me is when Dani asked Ryodan if he loved Jo or not. Obviously NOT!!!! As Dani clearly pointed out he said she matters but she doesn't matter to him. I hope either they go their seperate ways or she dies. I honestly think she is just a plaything for Ryodan until Dani comes of age and he can pursue her. Last thing, I was completely grossed out and a little hurt that Dani walked in on them having sex. I honestly almost started crying. I was like you are supposed to be with Dani. I know she is only 14 but she won't be for long. Just be patient!Don't screw Jo!

Anyway I will be checking out the next two in Dani's trilogy but I will be happy when Mac takes over again. ...more

Meh. I might wait until all 3 are published to read them just because of the cliffhanger endings KMM was so fond of in the first 5 books. I found Dani annoying and irritating in the first series and am not all that interested in reading about her.

Excellent addition to the Fever Series. Dani is great!!!! Ryodan is hot!!!! These two belong together once she gets older. Once again, KMM, has written a great book that keeps you enthralled and so excited for the next book.
