I really enjoyed this urban fantasy. A big part of that is due to the setting of London. It's a vibrant part of the story and place names and historical and cultural references abound. There's even a Blackadder mention which I loved (can't do without a cunning plan!).

Brilliant! So much snarky humour, and a complicated supernatural story which gripped me to the end. It's a British police procedural with a difference, involving ghosts, river spirits, mass riots and women with teeth in places they really shouldn't. I listened to this on audiobook and I have to say Kobna Holdbrook-Smith's voice is just perfect, like a young Idris Elba *yum* Any author who can make humorous references to Harry Potter, Dr Who and Blackadder is a winner in my book.
