Summoning the Night by Jenn Bennett was an awesome read. I literally read the book in one day; I could not put it down. Excitement, edge of your seat action, and a few Indiana Jones-type moments made this book one of my favorite urban fantasy reads of this year.

This is a cool world. Earthbound demons (as opposed to summoned demons) live in plain sight. The humans (savages) are not aware of their demon neighbors. Earthbound demons have a “knack” or special talent. These knacks vary from healing t

It is not often that I go to a bookstore and look for a book the day it is released. I did for this one. I enjoyed the first book so much I wanted to read this one right away. Wouldn't you know it that my local BAM didn't get a copy, so I ordered it online.

I really like Cady, Lon and Jupe - they make a nice little family. In fact Jupe is probably my favorite character. It isn't often that UF books included kids.

This time around kids are being taken, just like 30 years ago around Halloween. And with Jupe in the risk pool, Cady and Lon work to find out who is responsible.
