It's been awhile since I've read the first book. Having said that, I was able to quickly get back into the action. Loved how confident Ami was. Enjoyed the romance develop between Ami and Marcus. Something BIG is going down- potentially 2 BIG things. Lots of action in this one. Had fun guessing what Ami was, never thought it would be that. Huh. Well, if what she said is true, that's the 2nd big thing.

Very good second boom. I love Ami. She's so strong and sweet. It took me a bit to accept what she was but I figured with everything else why throw stones at aliens ツ And again... now I really can't wait to find out what Seth is and where the immortal guardians come from... Ami hinted a bit about it but not enough. If anyone reads this I'd love to hear what people think.

I checked & it was 2011 I read the first book, not sure why I didn't read this one sooner. Probably the shiny syndrome.
3 stars cause it seemed to drag a bit in the middle, but I enjoyed the beginning & the end well enough.
Marcus is an 800 yr old Immortal, part of the Guardians defending us humans against the evil vampires who go mad & eat us. Ami, is a mystery woman, who knows about Immortals & Seth, Marcus' boss assigns Ami as Marcus' Second.
