Don't pick up the series here since you are pretty well dropped into the middle of the world and characters but if you've read and enjoyed the other books in this series then this one is from the same mold. I really missed Lord Akeldama in the 3rd book and was happy to see lots of him here. I half listened and half read this book. I was sick while reading and I believe that may have hindered my enjoyment. I noticed that the author tends to take quite a bit of time giving EXTREME details. While listening I remember thinking, "good heavens, is she still describing the room." When reading I didn't notice the descriptions dragging but listening I did. I did enjoy the story line though.
